New Diagnosis and Fault-Tolerant Control Strategy for Photovoltaic System

This paper discusses open-circuit fault (OCF) diagnosis and fault-tolerant control strategy (FTCS) of a nonisolated DC-DC converter. The photovoltaic power conversion structure (PPCS) consists generator an interleaved Boost converter (IBC). maximum point tracking (MPPT) the IBC ensures operation at power. design nonlinear Backstepping is detailed based on equivalent average model IBC, stability studied using Lyapunov’s theorem. proposed OCF detection sampling voltage across inductor much higher frequency than switching frequency. In situation occurrence high signal state, three negative samples condition for signaling presence fault; system continues its normal operation. simulation results show validity FTCS. improves performance in terms cost, reliability, service continuity.
